Mummy Mason Jar Luminaries | Halloween In A Jar

Ok sooo… the good news or bad news? Maybe I should say “the bad news or the not-so-creepy news?”  It’s already Day #4 of our fun Halloween In A Jar series and that’s a big “boooooo” because we’re having so much fun this week!

But we still have today and tomorrow, right?  The not-so-creepy news?  These Mummy Mason Jar Luminaries are sooo easy and also fun for the kiddos to help make!

Now I want you to stay with me here because this gets “tricky”.

Ok, not really.  You basically take a mason jar and wrap it with some gauze bandage tape… hot glue on a couple of googly eyes … add in a little flameless votive candle (or a regular votive if these will be attended at all times) and boom!  Bob’s your Uncle.

Or your “Mummy”, as the case may be.

Hmmm. Maybe he does kind of look like my Uncle Bob….

Well aside from that you have to admit they are each cute in their own way.  Faces only a “Mummy” could love, right?

The supplies are truly as easy as can be and if you can’t find them locally – or if you just love Amazon Prime like I do when I am busy – here you go (affil links):

  • Mason Jars
  • 1″ Gauze Bandage
  • Googly Eyes
  • Flameless Votive Candles (I LOVE these things – real wax on the outside!)

These also happen to make ADORABLE candy jars and you can always add the lid back on if gifting.  How about a little tag that says “I love you ALMOST as much as my “Mummy”?

I just thought of that now.  I’ll try to add a printable (more proof that I’m totally still a human and not a zombie).

So that wraps up Day #4 over here.  Be sure to check out the other fun posts today from our Halloween In A Jar Team and we’ll see you back here tomorrow
